DEPARTMENT OF AYURVEDA SAMHITA AND SIDDHANTA

Ayurveda samhita and Basic principles of Ayurveda: Since Ayurveda is a holistic science and deals with the science of life, which is developed by integrating various other systems of knowledge like Philosophy, literature, Arts, History and so on. Chakrapani says “ SARVA PARISHADAM IDAM SHASTRAM”. Eventhough Ayurveda is an applied science, it incorporates the philosophical principles, so these principles have become Ayurvedic in nature and considered as Ayurvedic principles. This department caters the fundamental principles of Ayurveda to the freshers which help in its applied aspects to be utilized in their future academics and clinical practices. Vision : To prove the holistic nature of this science and to motivate the minds of Ayurveda aspirants/ students and assist one to achieve the Purusharthas. Mission:  To train the students in the basic principles of Ayurveda  To develop and train in the assessment of physiological and pathological knowledge by making them to understand the Sanskrit language.
